Relaxing is usually not in my vocabulary when I consider a weekend alone with two young children but it was exactly that. There was plenty of things for the kids to do around the hotel such as visiting the goats and the gardens behind the hotel. We were a short drive from St. Mary's Lake and steps away from town. The restaurant attached to the hotel was convenient and the food was amazing (still thinking of the Quinoa pudding I had for breakfast...yum). Being on a limited budget I found the prices of the food to be extremely reasonable. The rooms were clean and the view breathtaking. Opening the curtains in the morning and stepping out onto the balcony and seeing the sun beaming on the water made me forget that I had two screaming children in the room with me. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you Harbour House for a memorable weekend getaway.

We went as part of our office retreat and were treated well. The hotel serves fabulous, fresh food, using produce from the organic gardens behind the hotel. We were lucky enough to get a tour from the owner and were very impressed by the variety of vegetables and herbs being grown there. It's all the more impressive when you consider that it was once completely covered in alder. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the town centre and the marina, so you can't beat the location.

I have visited the Harbour House annually for three summers now. Each visit has been a pleasant, restful experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the decks are great for settling into, and I am a huge fan of the locally sourced organic food, much of which is grown on the property. Great proximity to Ganges, St. Mary's Lake, and the ocean.

We arrived late on Friday night, but the gentleman that greeted us was pleasant and welcoming. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and we had a great sleep. I woke up in the morning to a beautiful Sunrise over the Harbour (Ganges?). We had a great breakfast at the restaurant in the Hotel- actually it was so good that we had Dinner there too! There was amazing live music- I was told he was a local performer. Our waitress was very professional, and suggested some great wines to go with our meals- she also explained that my whole salad came from the garden behind the hotel! The next day we got to tour the garden, and it was so awesome! If you stay here, you hardly even need to go anywhere else - definitely the best food and service on the Gulf Islands!
